Everyone has a few tools in their box, and while we don't all turn wrenches for a living, lets post up what we have. I for one always enjoy seeing a drawer full of chrome. Here's mine.
Screwdrivers - Craftsman, not the pro series, but they are decent.
Sockets - Kobalt, 1/4 and 3/8 so far, all 6 point, I can't stand 12 point. They work pretty well for me, and I don't have any complaints on them. got them all on sale when Lowes was selling them out to bring in a new design. I like the color coded channels on the base of each socket.
Spanners - Kobalt as well, and color coded for metric and standard. the Neiko holders are just for transporting them neatly.
Ratchets - Proto Challenger 1260 3/8" and 1060-D 1/4" Good old american ratchets. Trying to find a 1660-D to complete the set in 1/2"
Cutters and Pliers - Mostly Ideal, with a Channellock and Stanley in there as well.
So there's my meager collection what have you guys got?

Wrenches: metric 6mm to 32 mm with some gaps above 18mm. Craftsman
SAE 1/4 through I don't know. Whatever the standard is for a basic set. Pittsburgh.
Metric and SAE standard and deep socket, six point. Craftsman for metric and Pittsburgh for SAE.
A very nice 3/8" Craftsman ratchet. Not pro, but the nicest they have before that.
3/8" and 1/2" breaker bars. Craftsman
3/8" and 1/4" extenders and knuckle joints. Pittsburgh
Two ton jack and stands.
Black & Decker drill with various bits and 1/4", 3/8", and 1/3" adapters.
Piece of wood.

I have a ridiculous amount of Craftsman, nearly all of it metric. I have a few pieces of Snap-On and a set of SK impact sockets. All told, I have 2 roll around tool boxes full of stuff.

I just bought this set from Sears. They almost always have it on sale for $180, and it's a very complete set. Comes with a little toolbox too that keeps all the sockets organized.
I'd recommend it to anyone in need of a good first tool set.
